Deegan Signs Multi-Year Deal H aiden Deegan signed a multi- year deal that will see the two- time Monster Energy 250cc Su- perMotocross Champion stay on his current Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha Team, confirmed by a release from the team. The release also answered the big question: Will he or won't he move up to the 450cc class for the 2026 Monster Energy Super - cross Series? The answer is he won't. But he will make the move to the 450s for the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Deegan is the defending 250SX West Champion and will most likely defend the number- one plate in that class next year before the big switch to the 450cc class midyear. He will, however, conduct business un - der the 450SX team tent during the '26 Supercross series. "I am pumped to re-sign with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing," Deegan said in the release. "The plan will be to race the 250 in Supercross and then make the move to the 450 class for Motocross and SMX." The other question that remains is whether he will get his feet wet on a 450 at the final outdoor motocross round, August 23, at Budds Creek if he wraps up the 250MX title early, which appears to be likely. CN WIND IN THE P32 Haiden Deegan signed a contract extension with his current Yamaha team and won't be moving up to the 450cc class full time until the 2026 Pro Motocross Championship. Plessinger Sidelined R ed Bull KTM's Aaron Pless- inger will sit out the rest of the Pro Motocross Champion- ship while he recovers from an ongoing illness. Plessinger sat out the last round two weeks ago at Wash- ougal and was hopeful to be back at the Ironman Motocross, but his doctor has advised him to take more time off. As a result, he'll miss the final three rounds of the championship. Plessinger is currently sitting fourth in the SuperMotocross World Championship standings, and he is now targeting a return in the postseason for Playoff 1 at zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina, on September 6. "Unfortunately, getting to the bottom of my health issues is taking longer than I had hoped," Plessinger said. "My cortisol levels are still really low and not back to where I was hoping they would be by now, so under my doctor's advice, I'm going to sit out the remainder of the MX series. I will figure this out—it's just something that is taking a bit longer than I had hoped." CN Aaron Plessinger will sit out the remainder of the outdoor Pro Motocross Championship while recovering from an ongoing illness.
