AMA Announces U.S. Motocross of Nations Team D uring the Ironman Pro Mo- tocross in Indiana, the AMA announced that Chase Sexton, Eli Tomac and Haiden Deegan will represent the USA at the Motocross of Nations, which will be held at the Ironman Raceway in October. Tomac and Sexton have MXoN experience, winning in 2022, but this will be Deegan's first attempt. This will be Tomac's sixth MXoN appearance. "I'm excited to represent the USA once again this year," Tomac said. "It's going to be great to be on home turf, and I believe our team will be very fast at Ironman!" Sexton said, "It's an honor to represent Team USA at this year's Motocross of Nations, especially with the event being held at Ironman Raceway [and] alongside Eli Tomac and Haiden Deegan. It's extra special for me with the race taking place so close to where I grew up. I can't wait to race in front of many hometown fans and represent my country on home soil." Deegan was a top pick for the team last year but was unable to compete due to an injury. This year, the two-time 250cc Super - Motocross and defending 250cc Motocross Champion is ready to go. "I'm stoked to finally be healthy enough to go race for my coun- try and bring that trophy home where it belongs," Deegan said. AMA Director of Racing Mike Pelletier will manage the team, filling in for the retired MXoN team manager Roger DeCoster, who led Team USA's first victory in 1981 and several victories thereafter. "To serve as team manager for the United States Motocross of Nations team is an honor of a lifetime," Pelletier said. "We have a tremendous team in place this year, with three racers that have already proven their champion - ship-winning pedigrees. We look forward to competing in front of our fans and defending our home turf this year!" AMA racers Jett and Hunter Lawrence, who will be defending their 2024 MXoN title with Team Australia, were acknowledged at Crawfordsville as well. Kyle Webster, who was a member of the Australian team last year, will again be the team's third rider.
