Two From Three for Kent at Thruxton

ound six of the 2025 British
Superbike Championship
at the incredibly fast Thruxton
showed once again why many
consider the BSB the top na-
tional superbike series interna-
tionally, with three thrilling races
o
ver the August 9-10 weekend.
For former Moto3 World
Champion Danny Kent (McAMS
Yamaha), the Thruxton weekend
was his best of 2025 so far, as
he took races two and three held
on Sunday. His largest winning
margin came in race three as he
took the flag by 0.196 of a sec
-
ond ahead of Bradley Ray (Race-
ways Yamaha) and Christian Id-
don (AJN Steelstock Kawasaki).
Kent'
s margin in race two was a
scant 0.097 of a second ahead
of current BSB number one Kyle
Ryde (Nitrous Competitions Rac
-
ing Yamaha) and Ray.
Ryde would
earlier claim race
one by 0.179 of a second from
Kent and AJN Steelstock Ka-
wasaki's Max Cook, the latter
surviving
a hair-raising moment
when the front wheel of his
Kawasaki touched Ryde's rear
wheel while leaning over at 170
mph.
"This weekend has been a
dream come true for the team
and [me]," Kent said after race
three. "Our success stems
from a strong Friday, where we
worked so hard on endurance
and making the tire last, which
has paid off massively in the
weekend's races.
"What an amazing weekend
it's been for me and McAMS
Racing; we've moved up to third
in the championship standings,
which is a great result for myself,
the team and for Yamaha. We'll
keep working and come back
strong next time out."
The points have Ray still
leading the way as the series
reaches the halfway point on
260 ahead of Ryde's 243 and
Kent's 170.
