Conquering Mount Garfield
Michigan's Mount Garfield is regarded
as the birthplace of professional
hillclimbing. The Muskegon MC hosted its
first hillclimb in the early 1920s. By the
1960s (when this photo was snapped),
the Muskegon Hillclimb was a must-see
event. Unfortunately, this year's Pro-Am
Hillclimb that was originally scheduled for
this past weekend was canceled.
