ROUND 8 / JULY 25-27, 2025 BALATON CIRCUIT / BALATONFOKAJAR, HUNGARY ROAD RACE I FIM SUPERBIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P80 R7 raced in WorldWCR. It is an arguable point, in any case. The first race, over 11 laps in dry conditions, was an eventual Maria Herrera (Klint Forward Racing Team) benefit, although she was fighting inside a five- rider group. Her late pace took her 1.395 seconds ahead of Chloe Jones (GR Motosport), who scored her second podium in two week - ends. Superpole winner Beatriz Neila (Ampito Crescent Yama- ha) was third, after a late scrap with Jones. Roberta Ponziani (Klint For - ward Racing Team) was fourth in race one, and Sarah Sanchez (Terra & Vita GRT) was fifth. Just when you think this class will become predictable in who dominates each weekend, something else happens. In the Jespersen was one Oli Bayliss (PTR Triumph Factory Racing), who placed fourth. He was all over Oncu in the final part of the race to try and take a precious first podium position. He was finally fourth, just 4.481 seconds from the win, not just a podium. Fifth in race two was Valentin Debise (Renzi Corse Ducati). In the championship, with four rounds and eight races left, Manzi has 294 points, Oncu 235 and Jaume Masia (Orelac Rac - ing VerdNatura Ducati) has 191. Booth-Amos has slipped back and has 188 points in fourth place. WorldWCR The ever-tightening track layout almost suited the relatively slow and heavy Yamaha YZF- hit the MV with a full broadside as he went up the inside. Tom Booth-Amos (PTR Triumph Factory Racing) was to fall and no-score, dropping even further behind the big leading R9 duo of Ten Kate's Manzi and bLU cRU Evan Bros' Oncu. Booth-Amos' position would worsen on the final and much cooler day in Hungary, even if he still finished in the points in 10th place. Manzi won again from the stunningly competitive and consistent Simon Jespersen (Ecosantagata Althea Racing Team Ducati). In race two, Oncu was away up front, then struggled, but he was only four seconds from the win with his third place. Star of the show alongside the amaz- ingly effective and bold Stefano Manzi (62) doubled up on wins to extend his WorldSSP title lead to a massive 59 points.
