Lawrence Brothers To Lead Team Australia T eam Australia announced its team for the 2025 running of the Motocross of Nations, which will take place at Ironman Raceway in the United States on October 3-5. The defending champions, Team Aus - tralia, will return with, of course, brothers Jett and Hunter Lawrence, and third rider Kyle Webster. "The memories of last year's victory in England are still so vivid," said team man - ager Michael Byrne. "It was a very emotion- al day, not just for Jett, Hunter and Kyle, but also for former Aussie MXoN heroes who were also at the event. It was a sweet victory for the sacrifices that so many people have made over the last five decades trying to win the Chamberlain Trophy." Last year's victory was the first time Team Australia won the prestigious event, so it's no sur - prise to see the Aussies choose the same three riders for this year's race. Currently, it remains undecided which class they will compete in. The AMA has not yet announced who will rep - resent Team USA. CN Rally Sertoes Gets Underway T he Monster Energy Honda HRC Team is lead- ing in the early stages of the Rally Sertoes in Brazil. After the Prologue, which determines starting position, on Saturday, the Rally got un - derway on Sunday, July 27. After 333 miles of dry and dusty conditions, 175 miles of which were special stages, Honda rider Martin Duplessis took the win on day one, followed by Honda's lone HRC' rider Tosha Scha- reina, who had to work his way up through the field after getting lost during Saturday's Prologue, giving him a late starting position in 38th. Honda- mounted Bruno Crivilin took third. Yamaha rider Gabriel Soares and Honda-mounted Romain DuMontier rounded out the top five. Schareina was impressive in his ride to the front of the leading pack. "It was the dustiest day of my life!" he said. "I started in 38th position and managed to pass around 30 walkers. It reminded me of MX style during that 300K special stage. It was very difficult, very complicated navigation, very slow in some parts, more like Enduro style." Schareina carried his momentum into day two, winning stage two over Duplessis and DuMon - tier. Gabriel Bruning finished fourth, followed by another Yamaha of Soares. CN VOLUME ISSUE JULY , P33 Team Australia will be composed of the same three riders who won the MXoN title last year: Jett and Hunter Lawrence and Kyle Webster. Tosha Schareina topped stage two of the Rally Sertoes in Brazil with six stages still to go.
