After Albert Valera, his per- sonal manager, made public comments at Assen stating his rider was free from his Aprilia contract in 2026 and could ne- gotiate with other factories, the walls began to close in. Aprilia threatened to take its rider to court. And Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta even threatened to revoke his entry to the grid if the situation was not resolved. "It's a mix of things," he said when asked why he had changed his mind. "The first of all is that before going back to racing, I wanted everything closed. I didn't want to come here and still be in a fight with Aprilia or with any person. "Also, I watched the improve - ment. My first feeling from what I saw only in the Montmelo test, Malaysia test and Qatar, was always really bad, because I had crashes, I had injuries. So that's why I doubted a lot. But now I can see, also in the test, also in the All Stars, how Aprilia surrounded me and how they helped me to be in a safe place, and then I changed a bit my mind." This includes skipping the final rounds of AMA Pro Motocross and the three rounds of SMX Playoffs. "Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Jason Ander - son will miss the remainder of the SuperMoto- cross season to focus on his health," the team said via social media. "[Anderson] has shown the speed to run at the front, but his health has kept him from delivering the consistent results he expects. Anderson and the team have decided it is best for him to take the appropriate amount of time to focus on getting healthy. "Super bummed on the year," Anderson added. "I have been having a hard time on the physical side. Not being able to push after lap two every weekend is frustrating. Anytime I want to try and train more, I keep getting sick and going back - wards with my fitness. Not being able to be the best me right now is super tough physically and mentally, but shit will buff, and I'll be all good soon. Also just wanted to say thanks to my team, Monster Energy Kawasaki, for being really cool to me and still giving their best effort even though I couldn't give them mine. Right now, I'm going to relax and get my body healthy for more racing in the future. On a positive side, I'm excited to enjoy time with my family, who always take a backseat to my career. Hope to be back out there soon!" CN Jason Anderson will miss the remaining rounds of the SuperMotocross season in order to "focus on his health."
