Twins Cup
Alessandro Di Mario (Robem
Engineering Aprilia) continued
his unstoppable streak in the
SC-Project Twins Cup, taking
another runaway victory on Sun
-
day at Laguna Seca. Much like
his
performance on Saturday,
when he won by 9.1 seconds
over Matthew Chapin (RevZilla/
Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki)
and Hank Vossberg (Robem
Engineering Aprilia), Di Mario
set the race two pace early and
disappeared into the distance,
eventually crossing the line
more than seven seconds ahead
of the field.

"I was quite nervous because
I came across the stripe on the
second lap and did a 28.4, and
I was like, 'I'm not catching him
[West] that quick.' So, the pace
must have been hotter. But I've
just got to give it up to my team.
I tried to put my head down and
make some juicy passes in the
spots that I felt really comfort-
able, but these guys are riding
really hard."
in the Super Hooligans National
Championship on Saturday.
Rispoli put the moves on cur-
rent number one Cory West to
head
the Arkansas man home
by 2.7 seconds, with Cody
Wyman on the second KWR
Harley-Davidson taking third.
Rispoli liked the feeling of
winning so much he decided
to do it again in race two. After
coming together with Cody
Wyman off the start, this time
the number 43 had his hands
full, as West threw everything at
him over the eight laps, coming
up 0.25 of a second short in an
entertaining scrap.
Race two saw a welcome
return to form for Hayden

It's pretty grim viewing in the
Twins Cup for anyone other
than Alessandro Di Mario. The
Italian/American made it look
easy at Laguna Seca.
