race lead and never relinquished
it. Like a storybook ending, the
former champ clinched victory
in his final Pro MX race at his
home venue with a gap of 7.161
seconds. His 3-1 scores gave
him second overall. Martin's last
moto win came at Budds Creek
2021, where he finished 3-1 for
first overall.
"It was a fairytale ending to
my career," Martin said. "I was
a yard sale [at rounds one and
two]. I took a break and got
everything better. Man, what a
dream day. It's an honor to bat

Deegan's second-place finish
behind Martin was enough for
him to garner the overall win.
Martin made his final ap

career on Saturday
at his home
track. After competing in the
first two rounds of the 2025 sea-

Despite the injury, Deegan looked

he fought hard for the race win,
battling last week's winner Jo
Shimoda and trading positions
with the Honda rider in the latter
half of the race for the win, his
first at the Millville venue.
"I've been laid up on the
couch all week," Deegan said. "I
was going to give it all I got, but
Jo was moving. We ended up
coming to a gnarly battle at the
end. It was pretty fun, and I was
out of breath."
Moto two saw Deegan get
off to a much slower start as he
slotted into second just after the
halfway mark behind Jeremy
Martin. However, Martin was too
far gone for Deegan to catch.
Millville's own Jeremy Martin (6) capped off his professional racing
career with a 250MX moto win. He holeshot both 250MX motos.
