Jett finished in second place, and it was only the third moto this year that he didn't win. Moto two was more Lawrence-esque, as the number 18 grabbed the holeshot and stayed out front for all 18 laps. Hunter's pres - sure stayed intense as the duo pushed harder and broke away from the others. Jett eventually separated himself and won the moto by nearly nine seconds, securing his seventh straight "I had a good start and just tipped it over," Jett said. "I worked my way back to second but couldn't make it back to Hunter [Lawrence]." In classic Jett style, it only took him a few laps to reach the front of the pack. He quickly made a pass into second place, but this time, that was as far as he would go. "I collided with another rider, crashed, and the bike landed on top of me, right on the exhaust side, burning part of my leg. I stopped to get checked out by the doctors and restarted because I wanted to finish the race at all costs to collect as much data as possible. Despite being a lap down in 40th, I fought hard and made it up to 23rd with a solid pace. Heading into race two, I wasn't even sure if I'd be able to start, but in the end, things MYOWNRACE Jett Lawrence made it seven overall wins in a row despite finishing second in the first 450MX moto.
