herco's Teodor Kabakchiev won the
Hiu Selatan Hard Enduro main event
in Indonesia on July 6. The race attracted
around 1500 participants, including both
local and international riders. Among
them, 32 riders came from 20 different
countries, with the rest from Indonesia.
Kabakchiev beat a talented field that
included runner-up Manuel Lettenbichler,
third-placed Graham Jarvis and fourth-
placed Mario Roman. Beta's Alfredo
Gomez rounded out the top five.
The race covered varied terrain, includ
-
ing steep climbs, technical trails and
riverbeds. Friday featured the prologue,
which was won by Billy Bolt, followed by
an urban parade and qualifications on Sat
-
urday, won by Lettenbichler, and the main
race on Sunday, won by Kabakchiev.
"It is a crazy crowd here in Indonesia,
as always," said Kabakchiev. "People just
love bikes, and they show it. I got a win in
the main event. I am so happy to take the
victory!"
