Hubner, Buzzelli Soar at Youth Trials T he hills of Sequatchie, Ten- nessee, roared with celebra- tion and competition as the Next Gen MotoTrials Youth and Women's Eastern Regional Championship, presented by Trials Progression, marked the 25th anniversary of youth trials at the legendary Trials Training Center, June 27-29. With 56 rid- ers in attendance and three days of elite-level riding, the event paid tribute to the roots of youth trials in America while showcasing the sport's rising stars. Riders braved relentless heat and 80 percent humidity, condi- tions echoing those of the Central Regional in Oklahoma earlier this season. The weekend featured three distinct courses: technical limestone sections on Friday, flowing creek sections and a dra- matic shootout on Saturday, and steep hillside terrain on Sunday. The premier 15 and Under Expert Sportsman class saw six riders trading blows all week- end. Beta USA's Bennett Hubner opened strong with a 41-point victory on Friday over Thomas Keady's 54. Keady answered back with a controlled ride on Saturday, maintaining his edge despite Hubner's standout shootout performances. A critical five-point mistake in section eight, riding backwards through the gate of another class, may have tipped the balance. On Sunday, Hubner surged ahead, finishing the day 24 points clear of the field to WIND IN THE P54 claim the overall title and the cov- eted eagle trophy, a longstanding Trials Training Center tradition. Keady took second, with Kole Swartz rounding out the podium. In the premier Sportswoman class, Beta USA's Abigail Buz - zelli captured wins on Friday and Sunday, and Trial Store USA's Kylie Glueck edged out Buzzelli and sister, Hailey, by just three points in Saturday's round. Buz- zelli's consistency earned her the overall and her own Eagle trophy. This marks the second elite tro- phy Buzzelli has won in the 2025 Next Gen MotoTrials Regional Championships.
