Aidan Zingg, 2009-2025 K awasaki Team Green amateur rider Aidan Zingg died from injuries sustained in a crash during the first 250B moto at the Mammoth Motocross on June 29. The 16-year-old Califor - nia native was running inside the top five when he fell and was reportedly struck by another rider, ultimately succumbing at the track. After a pause in the race, which included a moment of silence for Zingg, competition resumed. How - ever, some riders, including the entire Kawasaki Team Green squad, opted not to race. Zingg recently signed with the Kawasaki Team Green program after clinching the Supermini Championship last summer at the 2024 Loretta Lynn's Amateur Championship. Team Green stated on Zingg's passing: "It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that Kawasaki Team Green mourns the passing of rider Aidan Zingg, who lost his life following injuries sustained during a crash at Mammoth Motocross in Mammoth Lakes, California. At 16 years old, Zingg was a promising young tal - ent and dedicated rider who was known for his polite demeanor and impressive results in the amateur ranks. Zingg's spirit will continue to live on amongst Team Green and the racing com- munity." Sexton Eyeing RedBud Return C hase Sexton is rumored to be returning to Pro Motocross at the RedBud National, July 5. Sexton's mechanic, Jade Dungey, posted a photo of the number-one Red Bull KTM 450 SX-F complete with red-white-and-blue graphics and the caption saying, "We are ready for America's Birthday at RedBud. Really looking forward to having Chase Sexton back at the races and being back on the line enjoying what we do!" Sexton has only raced one moto this season, the first moto of round one at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, where he crashed early in the race. He walked off the track but hasn't raced since. Sexton and the team have been tight-lipped about the injuries he sustained that kept him from racing for so long. CN Chase Sexton is expected to make his return to Pro Motocross at the RedBud National in Buchanan, Michigan.
