naia led early after grabbing the
holeshot. Marquez added some
drama to the start after not get-
ting his launch control correctly
engaged, only just getting
his
right hand on the throttle in time
for the green light.
Bagnaia held firm initially
while Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini
Ducati) slotted into second.
Behind, chaos unfolded as Brad
Binder (Red Bull KTM) tangled
with Fabio Di Giannantonio,
sending both Binder and Johann
Zarco (LCR Castrol Honda) into
the gravel. Moments later, Pedro
Acosta (Red Bull KTM) crashed
out at turn 15, ending his race
before lap one was done.
By lap two, Marquez had
surged back into the lead group,
going three-wide with Alex and
Bagnaia into turn one. The trio
scrapped hard through the next
corners, with Marc eventually
emerging in front and fend-
ing off his brother at turn four.
Bagnaia,
meanwhile, slipped to
third.
The battle behind was just
as intense. Di Giannantonio
and Franco Morbidelli (VR46
Ducati) were locked in a fight
[Morbidelli] for the top six. I still feel
good with this result after all the dif-
ficulties we had at the beginning of
the season."

"I'm happy that we were able to take
the flag and take some points after
a really difficult weekend," Mir said.
"Doing anything more than what we
achieved today, it would have been
really hard and a big, big risk. We
knew how tough it would be this
weekend, so we made the most of it
and tested a lot of different parts and
setups for the RC213V. I think we
were able to make use of our situa-
tion and get some good information
for the engineers."
