T
he Italian Grand Prix at Mugello
is one of the premier events
in the MotoGP calendar. It is
also the most significant race for this
era's dominant manufacturer, Ducati,
which is located about an hour up
the road from one of God's own
racetracks in Borgo Panigale. It is
also a race Marc Marquez hasn't en
-
joyed much success at, his last race
triumph at Mugello coming 11 years
ago, but he set the record straight
in 2025 by claiming the Sprint race
win and the Sunday Grand Prix, the
latter elevating his win tally to his
race number of 93 wins across all
classes. And, what's more, his arch
-
nemesis Valentino Rossi was on the
pit wall to watch it all unfold.

another double win, this one bringing
his victory tally to his race number, 93,
right in Ducati's backyard
