three of four overall wins and
a worst finish of second place,
Deegan leads the points by 42
over Jo Shimoda.
Tom Vialle finished second
overall to take his second
250MX podium of the year. The
KTM rider landed on the box
to start the season but hasn't
finished in the top three since
round one. His day came to life
in the second moto with an early
holeshot and a strong pace in
the opening laps. Vialle slotted
into third for most of the race
but earned an extra spot on the
final lap after Chance Hymas
fell while in second place. This
bumped Vialle up a position and
gave him enough points to take
second overall, his best result of
the year.
"Today was a lot better," Vialle
said. "Hangtown was tough.
I had a crash, and I hurt my
elbow pretty bad. My last two
races have been bad in terms
of results, so today was trying
to build and get back on the
podium. My plan was not to win.
Haiden is riding fast. I'm trying
to build my speed and my riding,
so today the goal was to be on
the podium."
Levi Kitchen earned third over
-
all for the third round in a row.
The Monster
Energy Pro Circuit
Kawasaki rider is fighting an
uphill battle in terms of points
after a poor start to the season,
but he turned it around in the
first moto with a season-best
second-place result to start the
day. Moto two didn't go exactly
to plan, as Kitchen rounded lap
one in 16th position.
"I messed up lap one and
almost fell," Kitchen said. "I went
back to 16th but was able to
work my way back up. I didn't
expect to be on the podium
because I didn't ride great that
moto, but I'm grateful to be on
the box."
A sixth at the line showed
strong progress for the Kawa
-
saki rider, who also benefited
from
Hymas' late-race tip-over
and grabbed the final spot on
