WIND IN THE P50 Settle got his revenge, defeating Heaton-New in both the 85cc and SuperMini competitions. The 50cc Air-Cooled class provided the ri- valry of the weekend. Cruise Texter and Cooper Mindiola had the Triangle Motorcycle Club abuzz with fierce battles that culminated in drag races to the checkered flag on both days. On Friday, Mindiola emerged victorious by 0.102 of a second, and on Saturday, it was Tex - ter's turn to win by a margin of just 0.068 of a second. Texter also shared victories with Odin Music in the 65cc class, achieving a weekend sweep in the 50cc Chain division. The American Flat Track Series points lead - ers Briar Bauman (Mission AFT SuperTwins) and Tom Drane (AFT Singles presented by Kicker) joined an expert field filled with stars to compete on the Ohio Half Mile. Bauman did not experience the same good fortune he had in Salem, Ohio, in May, managing only a week - end best of fourth place in the Premier Expert class. Drane made the most of the Mission Dash For Cash on Saturday, but Trevor Brunner of Turner Racing Honda achieved the great - est success among the expert competitors. Brunner claimed two victories during the rain- shortened program on Friday but returned on Saturday for an exciting win against Kody Kopp and Tom Drane in the Premier Expert class. It appeared that Brunner would also be on track for a weekend sweep; however, with three laps remaining in the Open Expert main event, he slowed on the back straightaway, relinquishing the lead to Kopp, who was also making his re - turn to dirt track racing for the weekend. Kopp concluded the weekend victorious over Trevar Martin and Max Whale in Open Expert. Additional weekend sweeps were awarded to Deegan Lickfeldt (Open Novice), Jed Fyffe (250 Amateur), and Vincent Zachary (Hooli - gan). Ben Evans and Ben Miller split the wins in the Vintage class. The Mission Foods CTR Flat Track Series will return with its penultimate stop of the season at Peoria Speedway on July 18-19. Scotty Taylor Round 5 Premier Expert (Top 5) 1. Trevor Brunner (Hon) Wesley Settle was indeed "The Animal" on the small bikes, winning Super Mini and 85cc classes on Saturday. Cruise Texter leads Odin Music in the 65cc class. Texter won the class on Friday and Music was second. Saturday it was Music over Texter.
