rain comes mid-moto, because
you just have to adapt. When
you have a mud race or the rain
comes before then, you know
it's going to be slick. But with
this, it's a fine line of when the
track actually goes."
Plessinger led laps in race
one but eventually came home
fourth overall with 3-4 finishes.
"I got a good start, then Jett
stalled it, and I led for a little bit,
but I got a bit tight for a while
there, and I finished P3 in that
one," Plessinger said. "Second
moto, I didn't know it was going
to rain, and I picked the wrong
goggles. [My] tear-offs were
gone—had to pull in—and then
we got red-flagged."
Justin Cooper set the fastest
lap in qualifying but later fin
-
ished fifth overall.
"It
was a good day overall,"
Cooper said. "I'm not really a
big fan of this track, so a 4-4,
I think, for today was solid. It
was an interesting day, with the
mud moto at the end, which was
pretty epic. The track got really
treacherous. I'm just glad to
get through the day after all of
that. We'll put this one behind us
and try to shoot for that podium
when we come back from the
break at Southwick."
Joey Savatgy logged his best
day of the season with a sixth
overall, ahead of Jason Ander
-
son, RJ Hampshire, Coty Schock
and
Cooper Webb.

There's no doubt that Haiden
Deegan had a point to prove this
weekend. After his win streak
ended a week ago with a pair of
seconds, the defending champ
looked hungry to set the record
straight at round four. It was a
picture-perfect day for Deegan,
qualifying first and leading every
lap of each moto. He opened up
double-digit leads in both races
and simply dominated the field
en route to the overall win. With
