Luckily for Deegan, when his
bike's engine started to fail in
the first moto, he and Hymas
had worked up a near-minute-
long gap to third place, and
Deegan still crossed the line
in second position, but not by
much.
The second moto was anoth

er matchup between Hymas and
Deegan
as the two rivals started
up front. A mistake on lap 10
put Deegan on the ground; he
tucked the front end in the first
turn. This slashed any hope
Deegan had of winning the over

all victory, but a second-place
started
to let go, forcing him to
slow down.
Moto two was similar. Hymas
again crossed the holeshot
line first and led every lap to
the checkers. This win marks
Hymas' first overall victory and
earned him crucial points after a
rough weekend at round two.
"Today was a perfect day," Hy

qualifying
sessions, led every lap
in both motos, and got both hole

After two weeks of dominance
by Haiden Deegan in the 250cc
class, Chance Hymas put the
brakes on Deegan's win streak
by topping both motos. The
Honda HRC rider led from the
start and qualified fastest.
Hymas used his pole position
to grab the holeshot in moto
one and led the entire 16-lap
race. Although Deegan attacked
him multiple times, Hymas held
strong until Deegan's engine
