High Stakes at Next Gen MotoTrials Central Regional Opener T he 2025 Regional Champi- onship season kicked off in steamy fashion at Tulsa Moun- tain Ranch, June 7-8, where 38 riders braved intense heat and humidity for the Next Gen MotoTrials Youth and Women's Central Regional Championship, presented by Trials Progression. With temperatures reaching 90 degrees and humidity hover - ing at 80 percent, hydration be- came nearly as crucial as throt- tle control. Over two grueling days, youth riders from Strider class up to 15 and Under Expert Sportsman—and from Women's Beginner to Sportswoman—tack - led technical courses designed to challenge balance, focus and finesse. The combination of heat and technical terrain pushed even experienced riders to their limits, with many digging deep to finish strong. In the weekend's top-class showdown, Thomas Keady and Preston Blumhorst battled in the 15 and Under Expert Sports - man class. Despite coming into the event nursing a pulled calf muscle, Keady rode with remark- able grit, defeating Blumhorst on both days—64 points to 72 on Saturday, and 55 points to 80 on Sunday—to secure the overall victory and a distinctive stag- shaped trophy. In the Sportswoman class, Beta USA's Abigail Buzzelli im - pressed with a 47-point Saturday ride, earning her a win. Sunday belonged to Hailey Glueck, who cleaned the course with just 44 points. Buzzelli's second-place finish on day two secured her the overall win, and her very own stag trophy, for the weekend. Next Gen MotoTrials, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit dedicated to elevat - ing youth and women in the sport, delivered a standout event that underscored its mission: to showcase and support the rising generation of trials riders. With the Central opener complete, all eyes now turn to the Eastern Regional Champion - ship, scheduled for June 27-29 at the Trials Training Center in Sequatchie, Tennessee, where more talent and tenacity are sure to shine.
