Steward Baylor Jr Wins
Flying W National Enduro
R
ain was the hot topic during
Red Line Oil AMA National
Enduro Series, presented by
MSR and Beta Motorcycles, in
Missouri on June 8. However,
Rocky Mountain Red Bear Rac-
ing Kawasaki Team Green's
Steward Baylor Jr didn't mind,
winning the enduro for the sec-
ond consecutive year.
He finished second in the
first test of the day and rode
consistently all day to take the
overall win aboard his Kawasaki
KX450. "I've been doing this a
long time, and I've got to see
who's strong where," Baylor said.
"Obviously, I knew this is a place
where I should win and needed
to win. Next race, I would say
the momentum's going to turn
to Josh [Toth]. Then, there are a
couple of races where it's like, he
should win, I should win, or it's a
toss-up. I think this year's going
to come down to those toss-up
rounds where anybody can win.
I know the Ohio round and the
Indiana round, Josh is going to
ride well. So as long as we can
stay healthy and stay second
place in those, or right there in
the mix, the championship is
going to come down to consis
-
tency."
Returning to the podium for
the third time this season was
