Lee went 1-1 at Elkhart Lake,
besting Real Steel Honda's JD
Beach and teammate Jason
Uribe in race one, but he was
handed a gift when Uribe
crashed out in race two, Lee
going on to take the race from
He and Smith went hard at it,
with Smith leading into the final
corner, but the Englishman ran
wide, leaving a gap that Herfoss
charged through. The two col

lided on the exit, sending Smith
crashing
out while Herfoss pow-
ered to a two-tenths of a sec-
ond victory over a stone-faced
James
Rispoli. Wyman was 1.1
seconds back in third.
Herfoss' teammate Tyler
O'Hara claimed fourth, close
behind Wyman and narrowly
of a second from Wyman and de-
fending champion Troy Herfoss
(S&S/Indian
Motorcycle).
Normal service resumed in
race one, with Wyman taking a
slender two-tenths of a second
win over Smith and Rispoli in
third for a factory Harley podium
lockout—that was until Smith
was disqualified on Monday,
June 2, for being found in viola

limit.
That promoted Indian's
Tyler O'Hara to third, but the real
fireworks came in race two.
After a heated argument in
the pits between Rispoli and
Herfoss, the Australian was in
no mood to play second fiddle in
Harley-Davidson's backyard.
