250SX East Coast title, Vialle
certainly has the confidence to
compete at the front. He im-
proved as the day progressed
and
secured the holeshot early
in moto two. Vialle was passed
by his KTM teammate, Beaumer,
but the two-time MX2 champ
stayed close to the leaders as
he settled into an eventual third
place. He held on for the final
podium spot, and his 4-3 results
earned him the tiebreaker for
third overall.

"I do ride better when the
track is rough and a little more
technical," Shimoda said. "When
we have a hot, rough day, it suits
me better. You can be creative

with the rocks and holes. It can
be unpredictable in the ruts
when you get in and there's a
giant hole. But that's Pala."

bar and gives you confidence."

with two consistent second-

rider tends to improve as the
track roughens, and Saturday
was no exception. He increased
his pace toward the end of
the first race and overtook
his Honda teammate, Chance
Hymas, in the final laps. In
race two, the Japanese native
