WorldSBK triples, this
time at Autodrom Most,
until the very last corner
of the last lap of the last
race of the day, which
saw a heavily bashed
and beaten Nicolo
Bulega (Aruba.it Rac
-
ing – Ducati) taking the
final big race win after
a monster off-throttle
highside crash on Friday
left him feeling very sore
and sorry for himself. It
was a red-hot finish to a
freezing weekend.
Friday was, frankly,
horrible in all respects,
as it felt more like early
winter than early sum
-
mer, and the track itself
appeared more like a
breakdance venue than a
WorldSBK venue.
There were several
crashes on Friday, and
one notable rider, Andrea
Iannone, went home
injured as a result. The
visceral thrill of witness
-
ing Razgatlioglu shave a
significant margin off the
previous track's best lap
time was short-lived in
Superpole at Most, as he
and several others had
their fastest lap times
annulled due to a yellow-
flag situation after Tar
-
ran Mackenzie (Petro-
nas MIE Honda Racing
Team) crashed out.
At the start of the
first race, both Andrea
Locatelli (Pata Maxus
Yamaha) and Michael
van der Mark (ROKiT
BMW Motorrad WorldS
-
BK Team) clashed and
crashed. Alvaro Bautista
(Aruba.it Racing – Duca
-
ti) also made contact
but was able to continue,
albeit further down the
field.
