Ferrandis Out
For Outdoors
D
ylan Ferrandis announced on Monday,
May 12, that he will sit out the 2025 Pro
Motocross Championship due to injury.
"Unfortunately, I will not race this sum-
mer," Ferrandis said. "I have a stress fracture
on my left leg [that] I have been dealing with
all season. I thought I got rid of it lately,
but it came back last week. [It's a] bum-
mer because I love the outdoors and felt
my Phoenix Racing Honda bike had great
potential for it."
Ferrandis finished out the 2025 Monster
Energy Supercross Championship in sev
-
enth. He says he expects to be back in time
for the SuperMotocross playoff rounds.

Gajser Out For Season
F
ive-time World Champion Tim Gajser will most
likely be sidelined for the rest of the 2025 MXGP
season. The Honda HRC rider suffered a shoulder
injury at the Swiss GP on April 21, and it was later
determined that surgery was required.
"I am bitterly disappointed to have needed sur
-
gery, which effectively rules out any chance I have
of the title this year," the 28-year-old said via social
media. "There isn't a set recovery timetable for this,
but I'll be missing a number of rounds, and even
when I return, it'll take some time to get back up to
speed. My focus now, though, is to do everything I
need to do to get fit and healthy and back to being
100 percent, and we'll just take it from there."
Gajser had gotten off to a strong start to the
season and, at one point, enjoyed a nearly 50-point
lead in the championship before suffering the
injury.
