T
hat's all, folks. The cur-
tain has finally closed on
the 2025 Monster Energy
AMA Supercross series, with
an exciting series finale taking
place at Rice Eccles Stadium in
Salt Lake City, Utah. Two of the
three championships remained
undecided coming into Saturday
night, and the 250SX East/West
Showdown added another layer
of uncertainty to the mix. The
best was certainly saved for last,
as fans were treated to two thrill-
ing main events to cap off the
first half of the SuperMotocross
World Championship. In the
end, Chase Sexton and Haiden
Deegan won their respective
main events, while Cooper Webb
and Tom Vialle sealed the deals
on the series titles.
450SX
Sexton did everything he could
on Saturday night. The Red Bull
KTM rider needed a win to score
maximum points against points
leader Cooper Webb. Sexton
stalked Webb in the opening
laps and made his bid for the
lead on lap five. The pass at
the end of the long rhythm lane
demonstrated respect between
the two rivals and put to rest any
doubts about an all-out brawl
in the latter stages of the race.
From there, Sexton sprinted
away and opened a gap of nearly
10 seconds over the field. Salt
Lake marks his seventh win of
the year, a personal best for the
25-year-old. He finished second
in the series points, just two
behind Webb.
