The win was Lee's first since
his victory at Barber Motors-
ports Park in 2019 and the 12th
of his career.
A distant third place went to
Jones Honda's Ashton Yates,
with the Georgian getting the
better of Beach, who ended up
fourth in his first-ever Stock
Stock 1000
On Saturday, Andrew Lee won
the Stock 1000 class with a thrill-
ing last-lap, last-corner maneu-
ver over his Orange Cat Racing
teammate Jayson Uribe, winning
by just 0.009 of a second in the
class's season opener. Uribe had
led the entire race.
who nipped Hayden Gillim by
0.125 of a second. Tyler O'Hara
was fifth.
Race two was quickly red-
flagged when Kyle Ohnsorg
went down due to a mechanical
issue, taking Rocco Landers
with him. The race was stopped
again when Herfoss' engine let
go, spewing oil onto the track.
The third restart saw Wyman
take the early lead, which he
successfully defended to the
end, despite heavy pressure
from Baz, who finished 1.7 sec
-
onds behind. Brit Bradley Smith
was third, followed by James
Rispoli and Gillim.
"I'm happy with the pace,"
Wyman said of race two. "I think
I saw a couple of 29.2s through-
out that. It feels good. It's been
a little while since I've had a win
like this in the class."
