Jacobsen rebounded from a
poor start to finish second to his
championship rival. Early in the
race, it looked as though Jacob-
sen would give back a horde of
points to Scholtz, who was streak-
ing away at the front. But Jacob-
sen kept fighting until eventu-
ally passing Scholtz's teammate
Blake Davis to take over second,
keeping his points loss to Scholtz
down to five points after gaining
11 on Scholtz on Saturday.
Jacobsen leads Scholtz by
eight points, 85-77, after four
races. In finishing second, Ja-
cobsen kept his podium-in-every-
race streak alive with his fourth
successive podium.
Mission King of
the Baggers
Frenchman Loris Baz, in just his
third race in the class, did the
seemingly impossible, tracking
down and passing Kyle Wyman to
win Saturday's wet Mission King
of the Baggers race. In doing so,
he becomes the championship's
10th different winner since its
beginning five years ago.
Wyman, on the Harley-David-
son x Dynojet Factory Racing
machine, led the race until Baz
got him on the final lap. Baz took
the checkers just 0.199 seconds
ahead of Wyman.
"It was sketchy, but after two
laps, I saw that I was catching
Kyle in a lot of places," Baz said.
"So, I went from trying to secure
second place to accepting the
risk of trying to catch him. I
knew that I was on the limit, but I
think everyone was."
Third place went to defending
class champion Troy Herfoss,
