ROUND 5 / MAY 3, 2025 SILVER DOLLAR SPEEDWAY / CHICO, CALIFORNIA FLAT TRACK I AMA PROGRESSIVE AMERICAN FLAT TRACK P106 24 HUNTER BAUER 4TH SINGLES Canadian Hunter Bauer enjoyed his best run in several seasons in Chico, slinging around the outside in podium contention before finally taking fourth. The Vinson Construction/Reel Medics/ American Harley-Davidson- backed Bauer said, "Once they got the track in, once the moisture came up, it was good. I think I was prob- ably one of the only ones to make the high line work. And it was working for probably three-quarters of the race, but then once it got a little bit of a groove, it kind of went away. I should have went down low, but overall, it was a good race. It's my best finish in the past couple of years, and it's the right step going forward. I'm happy with the fourth, so it's a good night." MYOWNRACE Ott was checking out. That was crazy. He was running the high line. I couldn't make it work, and he could. I'm like, 'Man, this is crazy.' But I was able to find what I needed down low. It was just a good night." He added, "I'm going to ride this high for a little while. It's been a little bit of time, and I know what it feels like not to be in this position. I'm going to keep it going. I'm going to love it. And to announce that we're having our first child this morn - ing. After claiming a third con - secutive victory, Bauman said, "There were people everywhere [early in the race]. So, I was kind of shuffled back; I think maybe back to fourth or fifth for a minute. I saw Brandon Robinson spoke a wheel up at the inside of me down in three and four. I was like, 'I should probably get down low.' So, I did that and found a good line. And then, yeah, was able to get by Dallas, and James as well, with VanDerKooi slot - ting in ahead before the check- ered flag. Robinson nearly did as well, but Ott held on to earn his first career Mission AFT SuperT- wins top five in fifth. Memphis Shades/Corbin/Vin- son's Dan Bromley put together another promising weekend that resulted in a run to seventh, with Moto Anatomy X Royal Enfield's Max Whale, Schaeffer Motors- port's Logan McGrane, and Com- petitive Racing Frames' Nick Armstrong coming home eighth through 10th, respectively. Bauman's surge has seen Kage Tadman backed up his surprising win last week with another in the Singles final.
