The Georgia native riding for
Dirt Bike Depot KTM fell in turn
one and later rounded lap one in
18th position. He certainly did
not seem to be a podium threat
in the early stages, but consis
-
tency paid off as he continued
to
chip away and found himself
fifth at the halfway mark. He
crossed the line third overall,
solidifying his first-ever podium
along with a career-best result.
After finishing a season-best
12th in the opening round, Lin
-
ville is showing promise in his
sophomore season as a pro.
"I went down in the first turn,
and I thought about pulling it in
because, as a privateer, I didn't
want to destroy my bike for next

ager] told me, 'You get a start,
you ride
a good first few laps,
and you've got a podium,' and I
kind of half believed him," Park
said. "I ripped a start, and I said,
'I've got this. I'm in the hunt
tonight.' I just stuck to my laps.
I knew I was in second, but the
track was treacherous, and I
was just trying to stay up. When
I crossed the finish line, I was
trying to blow my bike up!"
Gage Linville continued the
trend of firsts as he locked in
his first-ever podium as well.

me time on the board, and once
he gave me three minutes to go,
we were getting pretty deep in
the lappers, and there were bod

ies everywhere. I was just like,
'Let's
get this over with already.'"
Cullin Park found himself in
second place when the check-
ered flag flew. After nailing the
start,
the Phoenix Racing Honda
rider put himself in a podium
position from the get-go. With-
out any major issues, the Florida
native brought
home a career-
best finish in second, beating
his previous personal record of
eighth. Park now jumps to fifth
in the championship standings.
