WIND IN THE P64 Seventy-eight-year-old Jim O'Neal achieved his 21st career victory in the SCORE San Felipe 250 by winning the Pro Moto 40 class alongside Shane Esposito, Francisco Septien and Rene Magana. O'Neal has earned all his victories in the SCORE San Felipe 250 aboard a motor - cycle. In his most recent win, he crossed the finish line on the No. 400x Honda CRF450X with a time of 6:5:53. Larry Serna Jr., 29, had never participated in a SCORE race in the Pro Moto Ironman class, but he won with a time of 6:20:43 aboard his No. 715x Honda CRF450X. Serna not only complet - ed the 650.06-mile course solo on his motorcycle, but he also outper- formed a group of 16 athletes. "Wow, well, I feel really good, with a little bit of energy, but I think it's more adrenaline than energy," said Serna. "It was truly a demanding course. Ironman is 70 percent mental and 30 percent physical. I've been work - ing on my mental fitness to take on this challenge and the results have surprised me." Bhaskar Ramani of India, who now lives in Atlanta, Georgia, had a unique experience in the race, winning the Pro Moto Lim - ited class aboard his No. 127x Honda CRF450X with a time of 6:13:544. Ramani teamed up with Luis Alberto Escobar, Thorn Devlin and Juan Tamayo. "We had a rough start," Devlin said. "When I got the bike, we were in last place, so I had some dust to fight, trying to watch for rocks and push when it was clear. I had a good day; I had one little get-off right at the end. I was only supposed to do 40 miles, but I got into physical first place, so the guys wanted me to continue, so that was an honor." CN OVERALL MC (Top 5) 1.
