ROUND 12 / APRIL 5, 2025
GILLETTE STADIUM / FOXBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS
P72
SMX NEXT
Another round of SMX Next
occurred at Gillette Stadium.
Kade Johnson ultimately claimed
victory on the muddy racetrack.
Johnson started at the front, be-
hind Kawasaki's Landen Gordon,
who fell on the opening lap. The
two swapped positions in the
race's final stages, but Johnson
secured the victory with a pass
on the last lap. Gordon finished
second, five seconds behind, with
KTM's Luke Fauser taking third.
"That was the craziest race that
I've ever raced," Johnson said. "I
don't ride in mud normally. I just
went out there. I knew everyone
was going to be wild. I was prob-
ably not setting the fast laps, but I
was consistent. I heard the crowd
going crazy. That was such a fun
race. This is so hard on the bikes.
My bike's probably cooked right
now. I don't care; that was so
much fun."
250SX EAST WINNERS
Never before have six different
winners won six different races in
a regional championship. Chance
Hymas is the latest rider to etch
his name in the history books
alongside other winners this
year, including Max Anstie, Levi
Kitchen, Seth Hammaker and
Nate Thrasher. The defending
champ, Tom Vialle, has yet to win
a race this season.
