T
he Slam Life Racing team ex-
tended Honda's dominance
in Baja, April 2-6, by winning the
King Shocks 38th SCORE San
Felipe 250 overall in the bikes,
thanks to the teamwork of Tyler
Lynn, Ryan Surratt and Carter
Klein. The San Felipe 250 is the
first round of the 2025 SCORE
World Desert Championship.
Lynn, Klein and Surratt com
-
pleted the 250.06-mile race-
course in four hours, 49 minutes,
and three seconds at an average
speed of 51.89 miles per hour
aboard the SLR No. 7x Honda
CRF450X.
This was Honda's 25th overall
victory in the SCORE San Felipe
250, with a significant lead over
its closest competitor, Kawasaki,
which has seven wins in what
is known as the "SCORE Baby
Baja," part of the Baja Triple
Crown, alongside the Baja 1000
and Baja 500.
"It started off good," said
Klein. "Tyler started and rode
well through the dust and got
us into first physical place. He
handed me the bike clean. I rode
it to race mile 210 and handed it
to Ryan and he brought it home.
We had a little tip-over, but noth

ing major; I got right up. I had
a few rock sections that were
pretty fun. The day went super
smooth, and we are stoked."
Arturo Salas Junior of Mexico
finished second overall and in the
Pro Moto Unlimited class, aboard
the Hero Racing No. 1x Honda
CRF450X. Salas had the support
of Shane Logan and Ciaran Naran.
"We prepared a lot for this
race," Salas said. "We are here.
We are happy to be at the finish
line, all safe and sound. First
things first. Unfortunately, we
got second place, but we are
happy to be here at the line. We
are not going to give up. We are
for sure going to try to get the
rest of the wins this year."
