Oliveira Back On Top
T
he Desert Motorcycle Club's
Inaugural Moto Oasis
Grand Prix was all about "get-
ting back." As round four of the
Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA
National Grand Prix Champion-
ship (NGPC) Series, Presented
by FMF, the series got back to
the Mesquite MX Park for the
first time in several years. After
taking a loss at round three, FMF
KTM Factory Off-Road Racing
Team's Dante Oliveira got back
on top of the box. Liqui Moly Be
-
ta's Dare DeMartile got back on
the podium in second—his first
visit since also getting second at
round one. And Slam Life Racing
(SLR) Honda's Tyler Lynn—the
round-three winner—got back
into the USA to get third after
winning the always-grueling
SCORE San Felipe 250 down in
Baja California the day before
with teammates Ryan Surratt
and Carter Klein.
However, Oliveira had to work
for it.
"Rookie move! I've been suck
-
ing on my starts lately and made
it hard for myself, but it was good
[in the end]," he said. Once he got
his Red Bull/Dunlop/Alpinestars-
WIND
IN THE
P40
Dante Oliveira avoided
making mistakes and
won the Mesquite
NGPC round.
