Daytona doubleheader season
opener by securing a perfect
points haul, but only by the skin
of his teeth.
Rather than run roughshod
over a challenging contingent
that was largely in transition,
breaking in new equipment,
teams, crews, or all of the
above, Daniels had to pull off
an unlikely comeback to win
in round one. He then narrowly
avoided being the victim of one
himself in round two.
