photo... Ascot Park hosted the Pacific Coast
Regional Championship TT. Eddie Mulder
went home with the championship trophy... Jack Johnson
and co-rider Mark Mason won the Mint 400 and were joined on
the podium by the runner-up team of Rolf Tibblin and Mitch
Mayes and the duo of Scot Harden and Max Switzer.

from DeAnza Raceway 40 years ago... We
interviewed Danny "Magoo" Chandler. The
next day, he was heading to Europe to compete
in the 500cc MX World Championship on a
KTM. "I'm gonna be World Champion this year!" he said...

featured new Rothmans Honda teammates Randy Mamola
and Freddie Spencer... Scott Head won the ATA St.
