Colden- hoff stalled his bike on the final lap and allowed his teammate Bonacorsi to slide through for second. Still, 4-3 finishes gave Coldenhoff second overall, with Bonacorsi earning third for his first-ever MXGP overall podium. MX2 The MX2 riders saw the worst conditions of the weekend. Hon - da's Ferruccio Zanchi managed to steal the holeshot and took off with the early lead. Nestaan Husqvarna's Liam Everts slot - ted into second with teammate and current points leader Kay de Wolf moving to third in the early laps. Zanchi looked comfort - able out front and opened up an 11-second gap over Everts in second. The Honda rider cruised to the opening win, claiming his first-ever race win in the process. Everts held on for second, while de Wolf crashed in the final laps and lost his shot at the leaders. He settled for third. Race two greeted racers with a drier track. Everts took the advan - tage from the start and grabbed the holeshot. The Husqvarna rider made it look easy on the demand - ing course and ran away with the lead and the eventual race win. 2-1 finishes gave him the overall win for the day and bumped him to second in the series points, just six behind de Wolf. "I'm absolutely speechless," Everts said. "Just six months ago, I was sitting on the couch, not knowing if I would ever race again. But I worked hard for this moment—I didn't do it alone, and I'm grateful for the people who supported me along the way. It's incredible to achieve this with my new team, and having our boss here to see us go one-two makes it even more special." De Wolf kept it under control in the second moto to earn second at the line. A 3-2 result put him second overall as he continues to lead the championship points.
