Motocross World Champion-
ship took to Southern Spain's
Circuito Moto Ranch in Cozar for
the MXGP of Castilla la Mancha,
March 15-16. Rainy conditions
soaked the track for Sunday's
racing, which resulted in difficult,
muddy conditions. Tim Gajser
and Liam Everts came away with
the overall victories.

After Lucas Coenen crashed
at the start line during race one,
Spanish native Ruben Fernandez
took over the early race lead.
The Factory Honda HRC rider led
early on before his teammate,
Gajser, began marching his way
forward. Gajser opted for a drier
inside line and made the move
for the lead around Fernandez.
From there, no one could touch
the Slovenian as he ran away
with the race win. Fernandez
held on for a strong second
place with Calvin Vlaanderen
rounding out the podium.
Race two saw Pauls Jonass
claim the holeshot, with Coenen
quickly taking over the lead on
lap one. The KTM rider looked
to rebound from a crash in race
one, but he fell once again in the
early stages of the second moto.
This dropped him out of the lead
as Gajser slipped by for the top
spot. Gajser again showed his
veteran prowess in the challeng

ing conditions and cruised away
with a 38-second lead. A 1-1
resulted in the 50th overall win
of his career. Gajser now leads
the 2025 Championship by 20
points over Romain Febvre.
"It was a great weekend," Gajs
-
er said. "Three out of three wins
and two strong motos in tough
conditions. Yesterday's qualify-
ing race win was important for
securing a good gate pick today.
In the first race, I got a solid
start, while in the second, I had
to fight through the pack, but I
