The 2019 AFT Singles Champion, Dal-
ton Gauthier, is a front-runner pretty
much any time he lines up—full-time,
part-time, twin or single. He showed
that again at one of his best venues,
pulling together a program on a shoe-
string budget with limited advance
training and then putting it on the box.
"I haven't really been riding that much,
but me and Daytona gel well together,"
he said. "I got a little tired there half-
way through. But it was good. This is
my eighth podium in a row here at the
Daytona Short Track."

Rackley Racing's Davis Fisher ap-
peared to face one of the steepest
climbs in 2025, transitioning from
the famously user-friendly Indian
FTR750, which he had campaigned
for the previous seven seasons, to
the notoriously powerful-yet-finicky
KTM package. As skilled as he is,
it still seemed only natural it would
take some time before the results
came. Not so. Fisher was a contender

nearly giving the Harley-
Davidson XG750R its
maiden victory.
