action after sitting out Thurs-
day's main with a lacerated foot.
"It was an insane race," Dan-
iels said after Friday's triumph.
"Just
last night I thought I had
to dig super deep for that win
and tonight totally disproved
that. I had a little bit of speed on
everybody, then the last couple
of laps, I just kind of lost myself.
I think it's also what happened to
Briar last night—it's super hard
to lead. Just leading a National
and having a guy breathing down
your neck is super tough. I made
a couple mistakes and boom! He
was right there on me.
"We went at it for a lap or two
and I kind of reverted to his line
because I think it was a little
bit faster and a little bit more
consistent. He gave me a hell of
a fight, and I expect that the rest
of the year with him, Brandon
[Robinson], Davis [Fisher], all
those guys, they're dialed in.
"That's why I hated people
saying, 'Oh man, you're going
to walk the dog on these guys.'
What, are these guys not good?
These guys have won races
and championships. It doesn't
matter what bikes they are on,
they're good, and their crews are
good. I'm going to have to fight
as hard as I ever have."
"It's not heartbreaking for
me," Bauman said after Friday's
main. "I was heartbroken last
night. We were kind of living a
