Malcolm Stewart won his heat race
and went on to finish just outside the
top five in the main event. "First heat
race win of the year was awesome
and a special moment, especially in
front of the hometown fans," he said.
"I rode well in the main for P6: We
charged hard, although I want to be
on the box. I'm having so much fun
right now, probably the most fun I've
ever had in my career and am keen
to keep it rolling."

Max Vohland earned a season-best
finish in fifth. "P5 in Daytona is a
great night for me," he said. "I've
had a rough first two rounds; been
grinding through it, and it paid off.
Huge thanks to the team and Daniel
Castloo [mechanic] for enduring the
grind with me, and as far as the future
goes, [I've] got nothing to lose and
everything to gain—nothing but going
up from here.
