aytona is the toughest race on
the Monster Energy AMA Su-
percross schedule. Soft soil,
technical rhythm lanes, and longer lap
times are just a few of the challenges
faced at the World Center of Racing.
While winning a championship is the
ultimate goal, winning Daytona is a
title in itself. With Eli Tomac and Jett
Lawrence out for the count, a first-time
Daytona winner would be crowned
come Saturday night. In the end, vet

eran experience paid off as longtime
contenders Ken Roczen and RJ Hamp-
shire scored their first Daytona wins.
