Yamaha history at Phillip Island by claiming
the YZF-R9's first win on its competition
debut in race one, dragging Jaume Masia
(51) to the line. The three-cylinder YZF-R9
replaces the legendary four-cylinder
YZF-R6, a machine that's won more races
than anyone can remember, and looks
like a worthy successor.
