moments. The victory earned
him the maximum points swing,
as he now shares the red plate
with Chase Sexton.
"His [Roczen's] lines were
really good in the respect of I
couldn't just run it up the inside,"
Webb said. "You're kind of just
playing a waiting game for me,
but then it got late, and then
it's like, 'Shoot, you got to get
Kenny," Webb said.
The lead duo gapped third
place and were never more
than two seconds apart for the
entire 25 laps. The number two
stalked the number 94 for nearly
the whole race, sitting second
and patiently planning his move.
Webb did what Webb does,
pouncing at the perfect time,
stealing the win away in the final
7 AARON PLESSINGER
9TH 450SX
Aaron Plessinger ran up front in
the early parts of the 450 main but
finished ninth. "I felt pretty good all
day on the bike, although off the bike
wasn't ideal. My chest was burning
a bit, and it was a struggle. Holeshot
the heat race, led the race, and then
got fourth. Same deal with the main
event. I holeshot, led early on, and
ended up finishing in ninth. We'll go
back, recover, and come out swinging
in Arlington."
24 RJ HAMPSHIRE
3RD 250SX EAST
After a terrible start to the cham-
pionship last week in Tampa, RJ
Hampshire bounced back nicely in
Detroit. "I didn't feel great today," said
Hampshire. "Not sure what it was,
but just didn't gel, although I knew we
needed to have a good points night
tonight after last weekend. We had
the opportunity for more there at the
restart, although I played it pretty safe
to get a third-place finish."
