He toughed it out and finished just ahead of his teammate Seth Hammaker. McAdoo started fifth in the main event but made some key passes in the early stages, which set him up nicely for the staggered restart. From there, it was trouble-free for the number 50, who looked nearly uninjured as he starts the sea - son on the box. as his other teammate, Brown, crashed through the whoops. After the restart, Bennick kept it consistent for second place and once again starts the season with a podium finish. "I told [Max], I looked at him and said [during the stoppage], 'Hey, it's just like the practice track now, so we've got this covered," said Bennick. "I felt I was pretty solid; I was just click- ing my laps off, and it didn't feel super hard. That was the only thing that worried me a little bit tonight, the whoops, and I was pretty good in them, so that helps me mentally moving for - was hard being in front because I didn't want to go down or do anything silly," Anstie said. "I was trying to be solid and consistent, and I knew, round one, a lot of crazy things can happen. After the red flag, it was just hit my marks, and it was nice that Dax [Bennick] was there just do- ing our laps like at the practice track." Daxton Bennick finished second, marking his career-best finish. Bennick, who's in his soph- omore year as a pro, made it a 1-2 result for the Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha team. He moved up just before the restart Daxton Bennick scored a career-best result in second.
