"Tonight, I was more likely to
be a fifth-place guy," Anderson
said. "I was figuring out my
rhythm through the whoops
but was dealing with some arm
pump that dropped me back a
little. I hung in there, and I was
able to pass Chase at the end
for third, so that was good. This
class was tough, and you never
know what can happen. Being
able to get three podiums so far
in the season and being third in
points is nice.
"Congrats to Malcolm," An-
derson said. "It's pretty cool to
watch
him win his first one after
so many tries."
Early leader Justin Cooper
finished fourth, marking his best
result of the year. "I had three
bad starts last weekend in Glen-
dale, so to have two really good
starts
is the biggest positive for
me," Cooper said. "I know I'm
a good starter, so to get that
back and do it twice tonight was
important to me. It put me in a
good position all night. I was
Energy Star Racing Yamaha rider has
been open about his favoritism towards
the East Coast tracks and that showed
through on Saturday night. Webb got off
to a slow start in the main event, cross-
ing lap one in 10th place. Slowly but
surely,
the crafty veteran picked his way
through the field and capitalized on mis-
takes from the front runners. With both
Roczen and Sexton
crashing late in the
race—Roczen tangling with lappers and
Sexton going down on his own—Webb
jumped up to second and maximized
points over his title competitors. He now
moves to second in the series stand
-
ings, four back from Sexton.
"As
we know, the whoops were really
gnarly tonight, so it was a fine line of
charging and just getting through safe,"
Webb said. "But with the sand and the
lappers, it was a pretty chaotic night.
"I ended up spinning out of the gate,
and that was all she wrote," Webb added.
"I made a good charge through the pack.
I'm a little bummed on myself. I was
right there with Malcolm coming through
the pack, and he got around guys, and
I wasn't able to [as quickly]. And as you
saw with me and Kenny [Roczen], the
lappers were bad. With that being said,
Malcolm was crushing the whoops. He
deserved that win, and I got a little bit of
a gift with Chase going down."
Jason Anderson snagged another
podium in Tampa. The Monster Energy
Kawasaki rider has been hot or cold this
season, scoring podiums at every other
round so far (A1, A2, Tampa). Anderson
started up front in the 450SX main event
but slowly dropped back and found
himself fifth after the opening laps. Like
Webb, Anderson stayed consistent and
benefitted from the mishaps involving
both Roczen and Sexton. At the line, the
number 21 found himself third, earning
his third third-place result of 2025. He is
third in the championship points.

VOHLAND BIKE SETUP
Did you catch Max Vohland's bike
setup? The FXR Club MX Yama-
ha rider is rocking a hand brake
on his left-side handlebar after
sustaining a leg injury last season.
With limited feeling in his right
leg (brake side), he uses a hand
brake for maximum control. For
a brake tap, he uses two fingers,
one on the clutch and one on the
rear hand brake.
