An MRI on Lawrence's knee revealed a torn ACL and a small tear to his meniscus. "I found out today that I tore my ACL and am having surgery tomorrow to repair it," Lawrence said. "I'm not exactly sure when I'll be able to return, but rehab- bing will be my new full-time job, so I hope to see you guys as soon as possible! I'm super- bummed to let the fans down." "We're all absolutely gutted for Jett, as we had high hopes for him winning another Supercross title this season," added Bran- don Wilson, Manager of Racing and Advertising at American Honda. "Injuries are a part of racing, though, and everyone at Honda is pulling for Jett to have a successful surgery and a good recovery. We know this is just a speedbump and that Jett will be back as strong as ever. In the meantime, we look forward to continuing to provide our full support to our active riders." Lawrence's Honda HRC team - mate Chance Hymas in the 250SX East division will make a late-race decision to ride or not to ride for this weekend's Tampa Supercross, the opening round for the 250SX East racers. Hymas is also recovering from an ACL injury. CN VOLUME ISSUE FEBRUARY , P29 An MRI revealed that Jett Lawrence suffered a torn ACL in his knee. Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, February 4. na, I went to Jerez, Thailand, and now here. It's clear that we have a mission; we have a lot of work in front of us, so we are trying our best, trying to use as much track time as possible to help the boys on the factory team. "Unfortunately, my track time here wasn't as I expected because day one was Taka's time and then day two we had the rain. So, basically, I just used day three of the Shakedown, but we tried many things; Honda brought many things to this test, so I'm quite satisfied." Ai Ogura, Fermin Aldeguer and Somkiat Chantra—MotoGP's three rookies for 2025—were also allowed to test across the three days. Of the three, reigning Moto2 World Champion Ogura stood out. Not only was he fourth fastest and two-tenths quicker than next-best rookie Aldeguer, he posted an impressive 17-lap race simulation on the final day, which was three-tenths of a second faster than what the top Aprilia managed in the hands of Maverick Vinales over the same distance in November's GP. Elsewhere, there were com - petitive times posted by Pol Es- pargaro (fifth) and Dani Pedrosa (ninth) as they worked on KTM's new RC16.
