Enzo Lopes made his return to U.S. racing on the BarX Yamaha team, while Drew Adams made his professional debut with the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Ka- wasaki team. Both riders were fast in qualifying, going eighth (Adams) and ninth (Lopes) in the overall ranks. In the main event, Adams nailed an eighth-place result, while Lopes finished 17th. INJURIES More injuries are stacking up and thinning out the 250SX West divi- sion. This week the field lost four more riders due to injuries. Mon- ster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Garrett Marchbanks sat out with an injured shoulder, and his teammate Ty Masterpool broke his hand last weekend in San Diego. Triumph's Stilez Robertson damaged a liga- ment in his wrist during San Diego qualifying and missed A2. GasGas' Ryder DiFrancesco suffered an injury on Thursday; his return is not yet known. During Saturday's 450cc qualifying, Monster Energy Kawasaki's Jorge Prado over- jumped the big rhythm lane and dislocated his shoulder, forcing him out of the night's racing. HANDGUARD Jo Shimoda's Honda was fitted with a full wrap-around handguard Briefly... Jason Anderson led a majority of the 450SX main event.
