Ken Roczen finished second
at Anaheim 2. The Progres-
sive/Ecstar Suzuki rider found
himself
in a battle for the entire
race, chasing Lawrence and
Anderson at the front while also
receiving pressure from former
champ Chase Sexton just one
spot back. Roczen finally found
a way around Anderson for
second place but bobbled a few
[safe lines] anywhere so I was,
like, 'Gosh, I guess I just have
to balls up and send it through
the whoops.' I think we both
got sketchy that lap but [I] was
able to make a pass and make
it through the second set, too.
But yeah, we're happy, another
rebound from A1, which is nice,
and just trying to get that points
gap less and less."

98 DREW ADAMS
8TH 250SX WEST
Drew Adams made his professional
Supercross debut and finished a re-
spectable eighth. "I definitely learned
a lot today," said Adams. "You know,
it was a tough, tough moto. It started
raining a little bit in the main event,
which made the track very difficult.
But I'm happy with it. I learned a lot."

51 JUSTIN BARCIA
10TH 450SX
It's been a disappointing start to
the season for Justin Barcia. After
finishing 10th at A2, he's ninth in the
championship. "I came into A2 feeling
strong on the bike, but I struggled
with my flow in my heat race and got
a bit tight," he said. "I thought we'd
worked it out for the main event, but
unfortunately, I got mixed up at the
beginning, then rode extremely tight
the whole race. It was a disappoint-
ing night because I didn't perform
the way I wanted to or ride the way I
should."
