field and found himself making
the pass for third with just five
laps left. While this is Deegan's
first podium of the year, he was
visibly upset post-race.
This mistake was similar to the
one at A1 and again saw him
cross the line in the opening lap
outside the top 10. From there,
Deegan again fought through the
another podium for Smith is Tri

umph's best finish yet and moves
him to
second in points.
"The track was gnarly in the
main event," Smith said. "I got
a good start and tried to not
overpush—it was important to re

spect the track. We gained some
good points, and

just one more step to go to get
to the top of the podium."
Haiden Deegan grabbed the fi-
nal spot on the podium. The Mon-
ster Energy Star Racing Yamaha
rider didn
't make things easy on
himself yet again and started the
night with a big crash in his heat
race. Later in the main, he tangled
wheels with another rider in turn
two but luckily stayed upright.
